International Activity

Institute of Applied Control Systems (IACS) of the NAS of Ukraine is the newly established organization of the National Academy of Science. The main task of the Institute’s activity is innovative activity in solving the problems of robotics, additive technologies and digital transformation.
IACS is formed on the basis of the scientific schools of two organizations from Ukraine that were ITU members in different periods of time: O.S. Popova Odessa National Academy of Telecommunications (ITU-D Sector Member in 2008-2021) and Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space of NAS of Ukraine (ITU Academia Member since 2023).
All directions of IACS related to cooperation with International Telecommunication Union are supported by a team of professional scientists, software developers, interpreters and translators that implemented a lot of different ITU projects and co-organized more than 30 different ITU events. Examples of such projects could be: ITU Broadband Connectivity Toolkit (2020-2024), Multimedia distance-learning course on the safe use of Internet resources – https://onlinesafety.info – 2017 WSIS Project Prize Winner, System for restricting access to inappropriate internet content – 2012 WSIS Project Prize Winner and many others.
