In accordance with the Decree of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine No. 442 dated 13.12.2023 “On the Institute of Management Systems and Robotics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”, the Scientific and Educational Center of Applied Informatics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was renamed the Institute of Control Systems and Robotics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and the executive Oleg Valentynovich Kopiyka, Doctor of Technical Sciences, was appointed the director of the newly established Institute

In accordance with the Resolution of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine No. 31 dated 24.01.2024 “On renaming the Institute of Control Systems and Robotics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”, the Institute of Control Systems and Robotics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was renamed the Institute of Applied Control Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and was also the main directions of the Institute’s scientific research are defined, including: robotic systems, automated control systems, control systems in additive technologies, and scientific education.

Acting Director of the Institute of Applied Control Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Oleg Valentynovych Kopiyka was elected a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Department of Earth Sciences, specialty – geoinformatics).
