Session of the General Assembly of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

On April 23, 2026, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine held the General Meeting, a key event that determines the strategic directions of the development of Ukrainian science. The meeting was attended by academicians, corresponding members, and representatives of the scientific community.

During the meeting, the results of scientific activity were summed up and priorities for the coming years were outlined. Among them were the development of artificial intelligence, new materials, energy, as well as strengthening the role of science in the conditions of war and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. International cooperation and support for young researchers were separately discussed.

The report was delivered by the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Anatoliy Zagorodny, who presented the results of the work and outlined the challenges facing the country's scientific system. Leading scientists, representatives of other state institutions, and partner organizations also spoke during the meeting, emphasizing the importance of integrating science into the defense sector, education, and the process of post-war reconstruction of the country.
